Merry Christmas to all! I’m in my little office space in the Whyte House this morning looking at this little white church.
It’s a replica of a little church my Mom had that I always loved growing up. If you wind it up and it plays “Silent Night”. My wife gave it to me one Christmas with some help from my sister Vickie. I put it out every year.
And just down the hall there are presents to be opened under the tree later this morning.
And I’ve been a REALLY good boy this year!
GERMANY CHRISTMAS
On Christmas Eve my wife and I hooked up online with our daughter Heather and her Army pilot husband Casey…who just got a promotion allowing him to fly solo from now from the “lead seat”…meaning he’s in charge now of his own flights even if there is a co-pilot riding along. Congrats to him
We watched them open their gifts we sent overseas and then we opened our gift from them.
Ain’t she a beauty? A nutcracker made n Germany from one of their famed Christmas markets. So now that will be put up every Christmas along with the little white church.
And then the four of us settle in to watch the classic “White Christmas” movie together online. You can probably hear me singing “We'll Follow The Old Man” right now.
We’d surely love to have our kids home as we miss them dearly. But thank God for technology that allowed us to share a wonderful Christmas Eve online.
SONG OF THE DAY
Today I’m choosing “My Prayer” recorded and written with Darin & Brooke Aldridge. I’ll call it a Christmas Prayer today. The song has a wonderful memorable melody wrapped around a simple prayer to God. I hope you enjoy it this Christmas Day.
HEALTH NOTES
I read an article this morning that says Ozempic can curb compulsive habits like online shopping, nail biting, gambling and more.
And they’re saying that even though there’s still no generic Ozempic, a lower priced version is on the way.
Health officials say the COVID is on the rise again as holiday gatherings are in full force.

Ya gotta love HONEST advertising.
DON’T STOP THE SHIP
The Royal Caribbean Cruise Line will no longer stop at the Mexican port city of Manzanillo. Why? Because of the high murder rate and kidnappings. Yep. That kind of ruins the ole cruise experience.
STARBUCKS
10,000 Baristas walked off their job at Starbucks yesterday…striking on Christmas Eve. That means no telling how many people went un-caffeinated on Christmas Eve. That can’t be a good thing.
Barista’s I believe stands for “folks who take coffee orders in a foreign language.” Like in this song of mine “Good Cup of Coffee.”
CHRISTMAS CARDS
A poll claims that six out of 10 of us received fewer Christmas cards this year. And that 2/3rd’s don’t really care all that much. And this is the first year that I didn’t send out any because of lack of time for a couple of reasons this year. Thank goodness for “text” “phone calls” and digital e-mail cards.
12 DAYS
They did the math on what it would cost this year if you bought everything in the “12 Days of Christmas”. Inflation jacked the cost up 5.4% meaning it would cost you just under $50,000. Hey…8 maids a milking don’t work for minimum wage anymore y’all.
HEADLINE OF THE DAY
Doctors Find 277 Contact Lenses In Woman’s Eye Ahead of Routine Surgery. (Doctors say she was humming “I Can See Clearly Now” right before they put her under.)
TODAY
It do be Christmas so it’s time to celebrate. I wish all of you a very blessed and Merry Christmas.
