And a good Tuesday morning to you from the beautiful country of Austria.
YESTERDAY
We made a 5 and a half hour drive yesterday from our base in Wiesbaden, Germany to the little lake town of St. Gilgen, Austria, about 30 minutes from Salzburg. Just before we crossed over into Austria we passed the soccer stadium that's in Munich which was impossible to miss.
Quite the impressive building and when their soccer team is player they turn on the red lights.
Pretty impressive looking.
SPEAKING OF IMPRESSIVE
That would be this little town were are now staying in St. Gilgen. We were teased with how it might look when mountains started appearing just before we hit the Austrian border.
And the we rolled into town.
And this is the view off the balcony of the Airbnb my wife rented for her and me and my daughter and her husband! Kudos to my wife for this coffee drinking spot we’ll have for the next few mornings.
We stopped several times as the views here will make you do it. Even from a rest stop the views are crazy good.
Even the little gas stops had scenic views.
The lake we’re looking at is Lake Wolfgangsee. We’ll be spending some time around and maybe on this Alpine lake during our stay.
And just before evening a little rain moved in which gave us this gorgeous shot of the lake and mountains.
There are some beautiful day trips out here. And one of the days we’ll spend time in Salzburg, the home of Mozart and The Sound of Music and much more. But I think all of us agree, we could just root here and be plenty happy.
TEXAS AHEAD
I am looking forward to being part of Gulf Coast Days for the first time which is a Parrot Head event near Houston. This year my friend Brent Burns is the featured guest over the three day event and I’ll be flying in to join him on Sunday April 28. I’ll be playing a three hour show with Brent and a fiddler named JD Edge. The show starts at 1:15 at T-Bone Tom’s and the Gulf Coast waters look to be right behind where we will be sitting on stage. So that should be cool. See you Parrot Heads in Texas soon.
HEALTH NOTES
Some doctors are now toting Botox injections to the bladder and they’re seeing it have positive effect on some overactive bladders.
A new study is suggesting that exercise may help those battling long COVID.
Experts say that extreme temperatures are tied to more than a half million strokes each year.
FUNNY SIGN
That's not the least bit confusing is it?
POLITICS
The Georgian parliament (in Europe) was thrown into chaos as lawmakers there got into a fight over a bill…and then started throwing punches. And people ask why I hate politics? The good news is that Mike Tyson is out of retirement. After this fight with Jake Paul is over maybe Iron Mike should run for office over there.
HEADLINE OF THE DAY
People Are Making Digital Clones Of Themselves To Do Their Work For Them. Awesome. I’m going to get mine to do a few sit ups.
TODAY
It’s cool and rainy here in Austria today so we’re going to probably just take a drive through the scenic Alps. Just incredibly beautiful here.
Have a great Tuesday!
