X Song of the Year...An AI Conversation...Show Tomorrow Night

BILL BLOG Friday, October 31, 2025    It’s Friday morning, it’s Halloween, and it’s the last day of October…already. 62 for the high today in Nashville, and we will sneak back into the low 70’s this weekend. Not bad.   YESTERDAY Lazy Wednesday at the Whyte House, but I did cross off a couple of overdue “gotta do” things on that long list of “gotta do”. That’s pretty much the end of those kinds of days for the next couple of weeks, with a show on Saturday night, and then a long road trip taking me to North Carolina, to Georgia, and back to Gulf Shores again.   WEIRD On X today, some users nominated my song “ The Dipstick Song ” as “Song of the Year”. And I don’t know the person from Adam. But somehow, they found that song from my album “ Off The Wall ” and posted that thought on X. That’s a first.   That song is all about the high price of gas. And right now, gas prices are coming down, so it’s a bit of odd timing. But, I’m flat...

Mercy Chefs Concert...One More Day...Subtle Frequency

BILL BLOG Thursday October 30, 2025   And here comes the last Thursday of the month. Hard to believe that Halloween is tomorrow. 56 for the high here in Nashville today.   MELISSA As of now, 30 people are reported to be dead after what weather folks are calling the “Storm of the Century” came ashore in Jamaica, Cuba, and Haiti. Unreal damage from this Cat 4-5 hurricane.   YESTERDAY Last evening, I played a little house concert with my friends Linda Davis , Lang Scott , Bobby Tomberlin , and Tess Frizzell for those sponsors and folks who donate to Mercy Chefs . Mercy Chefs provides 5-star food to disaster workers and those in need. The folks who started this great organization, Gary and Ann LeBlanc , were not there last night, and that’s because they are already on the way to Jamaica to feed folks there.   We had a little of that food ourselves before we started entertaining the guests.   Lang and Linda’s daughter, ...

Melissa...Telluride...Mercy Chefs

BILL BLOG Wednesday October 29, 2025   And here comes the last “hump day” in October. 52 degrees for the high in Music City today, and we’re expecting some heavy rain this Wednesday.   Hurricane Melissa roared ashore in Jamaica and is not hitting Cuba as a Category 4. Lots and lots of damage. A storm chaser flew into the hurricane and threw up “live” on air; that’s how big and bumpy a storm it is.   And officials in Jamaica have put out a “crocodile warning” as the Crocs are searching for high ground, and are likely to show up in residential areas. Pretty sure I don’t want to live ANYWHERE that has “Crocodile Warnings”.   YESTERDAY It was a lazy Tuesday, with no “gotta-do” stuff on my calendar. Game 4 of the World Series was the highlight, with the Blue Jays evening up the series against the Dodgers. Really good series, that could go either way in my humble baseball opinion. LA has that 400-million-dollar roster, but Toronto is more t...

Busy Schedule...18 Innings!...Expensive Trailer

BILL BLOG Tuesday October 28, 2025   Tuesday morning in Music City. Just a 58-degree high for Nashville today with some rain. The lows are going to dip down into the 30s before the week’s end.   All eyes on Jamaica this morning as Melissa is bearing down as a Cat 5 hurricane.   YESTERDAY I’ve got a couple of days off…yesterday being one of those. After being gone from home for 10 days on the road, I needed to catch up on stuff and look ahead at what’s coming just ahead. Here’s the schedule.   Wednesday evening, October 29, I’ll play an event for Mercy Chefs with my friends Linda Davis , Lang Scott , and Bobby Tomberlin . A private event.   Saturday night, November 1, I’m in Pulaski, Tennessee, for a red-carpet Freedom Sings event with Steve Dean , Bill DiLuigi , and Bobby Tomberlin. Tuesday, November 4 th , I’ll be in Durham, North Carolina, for a showcase with “ Evening in the Round ” that features Linda Davis, Lang ...
